I think she is giving awful information. They always promote not doing cardio cause the majority of people hate doing cardio so if someone says burn fat get ripped without cardio the majority of people who hate doing cardio are gonna click on that video and try to do the least amount of work to get the most results. It takes work to get a good in shape body

I used to watch her videos before and I made the mistake of not including cardio in my exercise routine. There's just something inherently wrong when a "fitness guru" promotes aesthetics above overall mental and physical health. Immediately unsubscribed I've now lost about 10 kgs by just walking (more like casually strolling lol) every day and being on a calorie deficit all thanks to coach Greg!!!

Most if not all pro body-builders do some form of cardio, daily or at least 3 times a week, for fat loss and general health in general. Cutting all cardio is foolish.

I think these people are speaking out against cardio partly because a lot of women think cardio is the only way and they're afraid of lifting weights. So it's like a no-brain reaction to that idea. It's dumb.

If you already unfit how can you do a good workout at the gym.. 1 foot forward 2 steps back..... she doesn't do cardio cos she's ... unfit.. she's a fitness influencer for fat people.. not for fit people.. she's nothing special yes she is good-looking lots of people out there a good looking and do no exercise and that's what she looks like.

I actually like walking.. probably Walkabout 22-25.. ks a week... get out in the sun..{where I go walking along the river in Brisbane River. clears my mind.. I really like it.., if you don't like exercise don't do it. you have to force yourself your just lazy it's not for you.. she just tells people what they want to hear..

Cardio literally is the best thing for beginner weight loss ?????????????????? And for your over all health???? Who cares what you can lift if you cant fucking run for 10 minutes without wheezing? Also resting heart beat? Why cant influencers ever just promote a balanced approach to fitness?

i walk a lot my calf muscles are toned and huge.. my waste is small and my resting heart rate is 46. i do lift weights but only 2 times a week.. ill keep the cardio :)

Even if, for a moment, I discarded all the other benefits of cardio, I can still affirm after 20 years of working out, I personally have never been able to truly build muscle without cardio. There is just something about it that diet nor strength training can do. I don't know the science behind it is, but that's just what I have concluded with my own body. That's not to say diet and strength are not essential in their own way, but for me, cardio definitely deserves it's spot in the sacred trinity of body building basics.

Look I didn't pass 39 seconds of the video and you are already talking about thermodynamics WHICH IS A SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE THAT DOESN'T APPLY TO BIOLOGICAL BEINGS LIKE F**** BIOLOGY. This phrase doesn't make any sens thermodynamics doesn't mean what you think it means, google it moron. But I agree cardio is good for you, unless you are suffering from anorexia, everyone should do some kind of cardio.

@Erick-Emil Szelitzky First, from a theoretical perspective, we do not have a unique theory of energy, it is not a universal concept in all disciplines and in all theories inside a discipline. Second, our body do not "produce energy" as a unique form of process, we have several and multiple mechanisms happening at the same time using different input, different outputs, different "actors" of the transformation. "Calories" do not mean anything in biology, it is not a metrics that is scientifically used. Thirdly fat cells are much much more than just your reserves, their biological functions go way way beyond that and so are the disorders that affect them. All these are just like children images of things that are happening, oversimplifying everything is not always helpful, particularly in treating a worldwide chronic affection like obesity and all the metabolic disorder range like diabetes, metabolic syndrom, pcos, etc . Sorry I'm french so I can make English mistakes. I hope it does make sens.

It does, energy is an universal concept, our bodies consumes and produces energy, body fat are our energy reserves. Consume less than you produce and the reserves will kick in.

Her hormone point is nonsense anyways. Your hormones are affected by what you do. Doing cardio gives you the hormones that promote lower fat levels. As Greg said, just an excuse to be lazy.

I like Greg, but I think he isn't speaking to the context of her point. He made a couple points, but it seems like he is reaching a bit. I have listened to her video and couple others, and I think the point she is making isn't as black and white as he is making it seem. Also skinny fat means skinny, but a high precent of body fat in relation to muscle... not a scientific term, but it's not that difficult to understand.

I wonder if she would give the same speech to someone who was much heavier - say a 250+ lb obese woman. Oh yea, they're gonna stay sooooooo motivated by the slow progress the weights are making "sculpting their body" which they can't even see beneath all of the fat covering it. Meanwhile cardio would have made faster and more drastic visual changes in their body at their weight.

I’m always starving after a weights workout, but never am hungry after cardio. I try to schedule my weights so I eat right after during my routine eating times. I can do cardio whenever I want because it doesn’t increase my hunger. When I’m looking to lose weight I swap out some weight days for cardio days.

Mmmmhh ok let me think shelley: idk maybe: 1.) better heart function 2.) better gas exchange in the lungs 3.) all around better vascular health and by proxy: 4.) better cognitive function 5.) more mitochondria 6.) more capillaries in the muscle 7.) stronger and healthier cell membranes in metabolic tissue 8.) less DNA damage 9.) better nutrient partitioning, better insuline sensitivity 10.) destressing and thus better mental health and focus 11.) better fatty acid mobilization yada yada yada.... cardio is way more important for health than weights. I'm not saying that b/c I'm biased (which i am, I have great genetics for cycling, not so great genetics for weights - reverse coach greg genetics) but b/c it's true. Still choosing either or for general health and fitness is moronic, be strong and contidioned.

I am not a huge fan of intensive cardio, but I defintely walk a lot of steps EVERY single day. I cant sit around, so this is great cardio too, you can do many things during long walks, helps you think better, feel better, see more. I do at least 15.000 steps a day. that burns 3400 calories in the day for my body type. I can eat a lot. So this is a lifestyle, cardio is great, and for weight loss all that matter is caloric deficit.

Thank you for debunking all the myths. Intuitively, we all know we need regular cardio along with lifting weights. It's just that all the gurus, even your gym trainer tries to convince you that you will lose all the gains. I have stopped listening to anybody else. I have incorporated steady state cardio after lifting weights. Recovery has improved. Thank god, I chose to look past the seemingly annoying voice when I watched your video for the first time. I am hooked to that loud, shouting voice. Thanks Doc :)
